Play It Forward brings $5,000 in sports equipment to Sunny Brae Elementary School

When Castlebay Lane Charter needed to relocate because of the Aliso Canyon natural-gas leak, students and teachers found a welcoming home at Sunny Brae Elementary School. That hospitality will be rewarded when a truckload of sporting equipment – jump ropes, hula hoops, nets, goals and dozens of balls of every kind – is delivered to the Winnetka campus.

The $5,000 donation comes from Play It Forward, the nonprofit organization founded in 2012 that distributes sporting equipment to schools in need. Founder Emily Eisner, along with a group of youth advisers will help distribute the equipment before joining Sunny Brae students on the playground.
